# Partnership and integration process

**Who this is for:** institutions and issuers who want to know what happens after they get in touch: the shape of the process, not a sales timeline.

### The lifecycle the process leads to

Whatever the first-contact process looks like, it leads toward the same technical and legal lifecycle documented at [`/tokenize/overview`](https://app.gitbook.com/s/chmhPiVNAafGw48c4oU2/tokenize/what-is-rwa-tokenization-on-lumia): issue, attest, distribute, service, redeem. Read that page before a first conversation. It states plainly what Lumia provides at each stage and what an issuer still has to bring.

### The four stages

In broad shape, a partnership moves through four stages:

1. **Introduction.** You describe the asset, the jurisdiction, and what you want to issue. Lumia describes what the chain does and does not do.
2. **Scoping.** The technical and compliance shape of the integration gets worked out: which standards, where identity checks sit, what the servicing lifecycle looks like.
3. **Integration.** Contracts get built and deployed, first against Beam and then against mainnet.
4. **Launch and servicing.** The asset goes live, and the ongoing servicing obligations described in the [lifecycle](https://app.gitbook.com/s/chmhPiVNAafGw48c4oU2/tokenize/the-asset-lifecycle/stage-4-service) begin.

**No timeline is stated here, deliberately.** How long each stage takes depends on the asset, the jurisdiction, and your own counsel, and any number given would be a guess dressed as a commitment. Ask during the introduction rather than planning against an assumed figure.
